Respected and beloved industry veteran with over 23 years experience on hit movies and TV shows including The Rookie, NCIS:LA, The Good Lord Bird, The Rules of Attraction and Supernatural.

I mix old school training and psychology with more holistic techniques from today’s acting scene to dive into my character’s archetypes, observe them without judgment and find creative ways to bring their humanity to the surface.

Born to Play and Leading with Love

The Actor’s Way In

After studying theatre for two years at University of Tennessee, and having had the pleasure of working with a devoted, brave, and talented group of undergraduate and graduate actors, Russell decided to make the bold move cross-country to Los Angeles.

Russell's career took off quickly, when three months after arriving in the City of Lights he landed his first movie role in What Matter's Most and soon after joined the Screen Actors Guild.

He landed a breakout supporting role as the unpredictable "Dick" in Brett Easton Ellis' Rules of Attraction.

Over the next several years he had the honor of working on a number of acclaimed television and film projects SHOWTIME'S THE GOOD LORD BIRD with Ethan Hawke to The Rookie to Supernatural to NCIS:LA.

In 2018 Russell started his own acting studio called The Actor's Way In.
